Crafted from premium Austrian grapes and gently dealcoholised to preserve depth, elegance, and character.

Created from the award-winning Cuvée In Signo Leonis — rated 98 points by Falstaff — this wine represents a milestone in alcohol-free winemaking. It is among the first in the world to be produced from such a highly rated base wine, preserving its character through a meticulous dealcoholisation process.

Blaufränkisch, Zweigelt, and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes are sourced from over 60-year-old vines on the renowned Neckenmarkter Hochberg. Aged for 24 months in new French barriques, the wine develops depth, structure, and aromatic complexity before gentle alcohol removal.

Recognised internationally by trade experts, sommeliers, and specialist media, Leonis Blend is widely regarded as one of the world’s leading alcohol-free red wines.

Wine description

Deep ruby in colour with violet reflections, the wine opens with layered aromas of blackberry, dark cherry, and subtle bergamot, supported by notes of black tea, orange zest, and fine oak spice. The palate is elegant and finely structured, with lively acidity, mineral freshness, and refined tannins.

A hint of vanilla and gentle spice adds complexity, leading to a long, balanced finish. Light on its feet yet complex in character, it offers a harmonious and highly expressive drinking experience.

Glass recommendation: Serve in a Burgundy glass to fully appreciate its aromatic depth.

Food pairing: Pairs beautifully with roasted or grilled vegetables, meat and fish dishes, as well as Mediterranean, Middle Eastern, and Japanese cuisine featuring umami-rich ingredients such as mushrooms, tomatoes, miso, or soy.
