The Story Behind ZERONIMO
ZERONIMO was created by Katja and Patrick of the Heribert Bayer family winery in Austria. During Katja’s pregnancy they began exploring alcohol-free wines, but found nothing that met their standards as winemakers or sat well alongside good food.
Convinced that a fine alcohol-free wine has to begin with a fine wine, they chose their best red – Cuvée In Signo Leonis, awarded 98 points by Falstaff – for their first dealcoholisation trial. ZERONIMO launched in Austria in July 2023.
